This hands-on programme answers to the need for community building, sharing best-practices and discussing challenges in the field of Enterprise Architecture. We'll not teach you yet another Enterprise Architecture framework or standard. Instead we'll focus on skills, talents, competencies and advanced practices that distinguish today's leading Enterprise Architecture practitioners. We'll present you with academically validated case studies and recent research, and - at least as important - we'll invite you to share your own experiences. You and your participating colleagues will act as sparring partners in the search for valid solutions.

• How do you tackle the question of the ROI/added value of EA?
• How can EA be used to deal with business transformation?
• The Enterprise Architect as creative organisational designer: What is the required skillset? What is his/her role or function? - How/where do you find this person? - …
• Building an Enterprise Architecture capability in your organisation, do's and don'ts.
• How to invest in "just-enough-architecture"?

Our approach

In this programme, we'll focus on:

• Stimulating an exchange of ideas, best-practices and company approaches
• Generating discussions and letting ideas collide on EA management
• Discussing company-specific challenges/issues with peers
• Linking EA with other Vlerick fields of expertise: strategy, management, leadership, change and communication
• No focus on frameworks; not a sales club; no tools/techniques fetish
• Content is king, networking a nice extra

You will be amazed by our keenness for practice. Our faculty will put a lot of effort in developing the workshops and will ask you for your active input. We'll present you with academically validated case studies and recent Vlerick research on EA published in the Journal of Enterprise Architecture, the leading publication for the international Enterprise Architecture community. This will give you a broader perspective on the issues that you are likely to face.

You, as an EA practitioner, will be invited to illustrate the theory and insights with concrete examples. You and your participating colleagues will act as sparring partners in the search for valid solutions. We have set the bar high to ensure that you will be able to apply your knowledge immediately in the corporate world.
