At the MBA programme of THUAS, a top degree programme in the Netherlands*, you will encounter four important but distinct phases in the curriculum that will help you develop into a confident business professional. The first phase consists of basic modules that offer a solid foundation for your personal and professional development. The next phases offer modules to further deepen your knowledge in addition to implementing strategies and business models. You will also acquire research skills and further develop your leadership competencies. The last component of the curriculum, and final phase, is the master thesis. Full-time students follow the full academic year (Sept -August), whereas part-time students take approximately two years to complete the MBA programme. Full-time students will have 24 lecture hours (which accounts for four lectures days) a week.
During the THUAS MBA you will learn how to apply business theory to real life scenarios. MBA students analyse relevant and current case studies, and will role-play as business consultants advising organisations on current issues they are struggling with. Social entrepreneurship and responsible leadership, but also human resources management, accounting, marketing and strategy are therefore at the very core of the MBA curriculum.
At THUAS, we find the practical side of business & management studies very important. To complement the regular curriculum you can expect elements of consultancy, case study, team projects, business planning, intercultural communication and critical thinking. We also arrange company visits and guest lectures by alumni. We have previously visited PostNL, Circl, Fairphone and update our visits each year.Your programme exists of Core Modules and Specialisation modules, complemented by a vertical line of leadership development and business research methods. The Integration module forms a bridge between theory and practice, core and specialisation. Students can also opt to obtain an MBA in Responsible Management, and follow Term 3 at UPEACE in Costa Rica focusing on CSR.
